2019 Mazda6 engine options
When an extra engine option was added to the Mazda6 lineup last year, everyone loved it. For years, customers and critics were craving a new, more powerful engine to match the car’s size and style. That engine returns for 2019! First, though, we have to talk about the base motor. The Sport and Touring models come with a 187-horsepower, SKYACTIV®-G 2.5-liter DOHC 16-valve inline four-cylinder engine with VVT and Cylinder Deactivation. The Grand Touring, Grand Touring Reserve, and Signature trims feature the 250-horsepower SKYACTIV®-G 2.5-liter Dynamic Pressure Turbo DOHC 16-valve I-4 engine with VVT. This engine is for those who don’t mind sacrificing a little efficiency in the name of power and thrill. The base engine helps drivers average up to 35 highway mpg and 26 city mpg while the turbo engine contributes to up to 31 highway mpg and 23 city mpg.
Other available features on the 2019 Mazda6 include Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, integrated Mazda Navigation, heated front and rear seats, paddle shifters, and rear cross-traffic alert.
